What to expect:
Once you book your newborn session, you can absolutely expect me to be excited and anticipating your new bundle’s arrival! Newborn sessions are my niche, they are what I have discovered to be my love of photography.
Once your session is penciled in, I will frequently reach out to you around your due date because the best time to have newborn sessions are within 7-14 days after delivery. While older babies can still have newborn sessions, I have discovered this is the best time to get the squishy, sleepy baby poses.
On the day of your session, I guarantee that your newborn’s safety is my number one priority. From placement, to props, to room temperature, etc. If something does not seem safe or if your baby doesn’t seem to want to be posed a certain way, I will stop and move on to a different pose.
During your session, you can expect a well warmed room (think 75+ degrees F), plus a small heater next to where I am working to keep your newborn warm and cozy. Babies are accustomed to warmer temperatures for the past 9 or so months and during newborn sessions we will be changing swaddles and outfits; their warmth is key. Please dress accordingly; no heavy sweaters!
Depending on the package option you have selected, please note the amount of time stated. Newborns are very time consuming due to their nature of wanting to feed, be changed, needing settled, etc. Please be patient during your session. If you need to step outside I am okay with that, just be mindful if your baby is midst being unwrapped if it is cold.
Most of all, expect me to enjoy every single moment with your newborn.
